跃迁管理局是专门管理非法穿越时空者的管理机构，秉承“历史车轮转，事事不能乱”的原则，把非法穿越时空的人带回到正常时间节点，以防更改历史发展进程的事情发生。陈零与欧阳壹分别是管理局的中级执法者和低级办事员，两人是一对搭档，一起执行任务。由于低级执法者欧阳壹年轻，执着，又被中级执法者陈零拥有仿真智能机器人刺激，又被同事嘲笑，愤愤不平，终于决定单独执行任务，身为朋友和上司的陈零不放心，于是带上机器人紫芯一起回到两年前的一天，帮助欧阳壹执行跃迁者带回的任务。可当第一次顺利带回非法跃迁者李川后发现，被带回的李川又再一次回到了两年前，任务莫名失败，两人只好再次回到过去，去探查事情的真相。而李川已经具备了自我控制穿越的能力，陈零和欧阳壹在跟随李川一次次穿越的过程中终于揭开谜底......。Howard Tyler (Frank Lovejoy) is a family man, living in California, who can't seem to get by financially.
