影片取材于京剧名段《挡马》，讲述了杨业（吴樾饰）战死幽州后，皇上御赐给杨家的九环金锋定宋宝刀落入辽邦，杨八姐（张新童饰）与杨九妹（刘欣蕾饰）悲愤之下前往辽国夺回宝刀，返程途中遇见流落异乡的宋将焦光普（松天硕饰），双方不打不相识，后携手护送宝刀返回故土的故事。。Mario, a keen birdwatcher, but unable to drive, offers to pay a man he just meet to drive him from Valencia to Romania. Neither of them is aware of the other's story, but a new and definitive journey starts for both of them.。
