程家少爷程亦鹏（范冬雨 饰）痴迷武术，程父试图用婚姻约束其行为，程亦鹏遂决定远上少林做俗家弟子，如此既可躲避习武力强的未婚妻小翠，又能学习少林功夫，在与心上人小晴（何晴 饰）话别后，亦鹏奔赴少林。然而师父恒德（赵小锐 饰）日日只是让一班俗家弟子做苦工，不肯教授少林功夫，师兄弟们虽不满却也无可奈何，加之小晴在少林附近落脚，程亦鹏和师兄弟们学着用各种方法苦中作乐。曾经被逐出少林的一游侠在遍访名师后，意欲挑战少林，以报当年未学到武功之恨，程亦鹏等俗家弟子被游侠多次殴打，恒德欲同游侠较量反被方丈关入藏经阁。程亦鹏经过苦工打熬，终有习武资格，在恒德指点下向游侠一雪前耻……。在东胜神州傲来国的花果山上，有一块灵石饱受日精月华，最终幻化成一只机敏过人的神猴。它占山为王，自命齐天大圣，访仙山，结妖友，得名悟空，并习得一身绝世本领。随后闯龙宫，入阴曹，更上演大闹天宫的好戏。悟空被如来佛祖压在五指山下，历经五百年的风雨，终于得西天取经的高僧唐三藏相助重获自由。受观世音菩萨之命，悟空拜唐僧为师，之后又收服了小白龙、猪八戒、沙和尚。师徒一行不辞辛苦，一路上更遭遇无数妖魔鬼怪与艰难险阻……。Greece, in the 1920's, is occupied by the Turks. The country is in turmoil with entire villages uprooted. The site of the movie is a Greek village that conducts a passion play each year. The leading citizens of the town, under the auspices of the Patriarch, choose those that will play the parts in the Passion. A stuttering shepherd is chosen to play Jesus. The town butcher (who wanted to be Jesus) is chosen as Judas. The town prostitute is chosen as Mary Magdalene. The rest of the disciples are also chosen. As the movie unfolds, the Passion Play becomes a reality. A group of villagers, uprooted by the war and impoverished, arrive at the village led by their priest. The wealthier citizens of the town want nothing with these people and manipulate a massacre. In the context of the 1920's each of the characters plays out their biblical role in actuality.。
