该剧是《生活大爆炸》派生的番外前传剧，主要讲述童年时期的谢尔顿·库珀跟家人一同在德克萨斯州生活的故事。。东京私立贵大高等学校高一年级的学生弄内洋太追求同学早川然美，正当他准备告白时，却发现然美喜欢的是他的好友——同班同学新舞贵志，于是他陷入了无奈与失落。一个人走在回到家的路上，洋太的情绪十分低落，自己也不知道怎么就走到了一家名叫GOKURAU的出租录影带的商店前。洋太走过一排排录影带架后，在一盒录影带前停了下来：《安慰——天野爱》。借回家的录影带在播放过程中，天野爱居然从画面中走出！爱鼓励洋太要努力追求真爱，并以洋太妹妹的身份住在洋太家中。谁也没有想到，一段感人的恋爱故事就这样开始。。A young woman who has been separated from her daughter works one odd job after another while battling a brain disorder whose name she does not know, but which deforms her perception of time and reality.
